I recently had the pleasure of experiencing rubbed sage's aromatic and earthy flavor during my travels to Egypt. I was introduced to this versatile herb by a local farmer who shared with me its rich history and cultural significance.

 

Rubbed sage, also known as ground sage, is a common culinary herb used in many cuisines around the world. It is made by grinding the leaves of the sage plant and is known for its distinctive aroma and flavor. In ancient times, rubbed sage was used for its medicinal properties and was believed to have healing powers.

 

In my culinary experiments with rubbed sage, I have found that it pairs well with a variety of dishes, especially roasted meats, poultry, and vegetables. The earthy and slightly bitter flavor of rubbed sage adds depth to these dishes and enhances their overall taste.
